Patrick Pub is an Irish Bar located at History Museum Metro. It has a good range of beers and a wide range on the menu; which includes steaks. I recommend the Chicken Wings! The good thing about this bar is the fact that you can actually sit at the bar, which is uncommon here in Kharkov. The bar staff are friendly, though their English is limited depending upon who is working, but there is an English menu available.
Great for watching football, this bar is a Manchester United bar and has a large following whenever there is one of their games on. The owners are fanatical Metalist fans, and the place is booked out whenever one of their games are on. The negative I find with Kharkov pubs is the table reservation process. It is normal for locals to book tables in advance and the staff reserve these tables hours prior to the actual booking, so it is not uncommon to enter an empty bar only to be told there is nowhere to actually sit and be turned away – part of the Kharkov charm I guess! This is one of those places.
I recommend Patricks for having a drink, watching football or just getting some pub grub. Entrance to the pub is at street level between the Market exit at History Museum and the Church complex on University Street.
